Pink Lady® recently caught up with Jane Bower, who won a two day craft course for her and a friend at West Dean College in rural Sussex.

Jane saw the competition as the perfect opportunity to try something new as her career in teaching art restricted her time creating personal crafts. Along with fellow teacher Jackie, the pair embarked on two full days of creating pebble mosaics and woodturning.

Jane commented: “We chose courses that offered completely unique experiences. While it was hard work, it definitely paid off. We could hardly believe we’d created such wonderful wooden bowls and pebble mosaics. West Dean College is beautiful, so we both enjoyed lunch time strolls around the impressive grounds.”

Staying at the Goodwood Hotel – close to the prestigious West Dean College – enabled Jane and Jackie to relax after long days crafting and make use of the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna as well as indulging in delicious meals and treats.

After such an inspiring and fun-filled two days, Jane is certain she will return. With 40 years’ experience in art tuition, Jane is even planning to enquire about becoming a tutor at West Dean College. Pink Lady® wishes Jane the best of luck with her next steps in her arts and crafts journey.

If you'd like to try something new and expand your horizons like Jane, why not enter Pink Lady® Makes it Possible 2017? Our next competition will launch in June.
