Finding Our Fizz at the Pride Wide Open Summit

As part of the day, we were delighted to share Pink Lady® apples and our refreshing Pink Lady® x DASH Water with attendees, creating small moments of fizz between thought-provoking talks, new connections and meaningful discussions. But what made the day special went far beyond what was being sampled.

Celebrating the power of being yourself

Pride Wide Open’s mission is rooted in creating a world where LGBTQIA+ people are free, visible, included and celebrated. Through its latest campaign, the organisation is sharing real stories of friendship, self-discovery and belonging to help build understanding and connection. Throughout the summit, speakers and attendees explored themes of visibility, allyship, inclusion and authenticity.

The conversations were honest, uplifting and full of hope. And that spirit felt incredibly close to home. Pink Lady® wants everyone to 'Find Your Fizz'. This comes from a simple belief: that everyone has a unique spark inside them. A vibrant, colourful side waiting to be expressed. The moments when we stop overthinking, lean into who we are and allow ourselves to show up authentically are often the moments life feels richest.

Listening to stories throughout the day, we saw that same spirit everywhere. In the people sharing their experiences. In the friendships being celebrated. In the communities creating space for others to feel seen. And in every conversation that encouraged someone to feel a little more comfortable being themselves.

A continued commitment to community

Supporting LGBTQIA+ communities is not new for Pink Lady®. Over the years, we have proudly partnered with Pride initiatives and supported organisations helping LGBTQIA+ people access vital services, visibility and support. From our Pride-themed packs helping raise awareness for LGBT+ anti-abuse services to ongoing conversations around inclusion and allyship, we remain committed to celebrating the diverse communities that make life richer, brighter and more vibrant.

For us, showing up matters. Not because Pride is a moment in the calendar, but because creating spaces where people feel welcome, valued and celebrated is something worth supporting every day.

Finding the fizz together

One of the most powerful themes from the summit was the importance of connection. Finding people who encourage you to be yourself. Finding communities that help you feel seen. Finding friendships that remind you that your differences are something to celebrate, not hide.

At Pink Lady®, we believe those moments deserve celebrating. Whether it's a bold conversation, a new connection, a shared laugh over an apple sample, or simply the confidence to embrace who you are, these are the moments that bring colour to everyday life.
