The results are in! We are pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Awards 2020!
A virtual awards ceremony took place on Tuesday 28th April at 8pm, on Facebook and Youtube. The awards were hosted by Alex James: musician, food lover and cheese maker, who introduced an array of captivating images which made the final cut in this year’s award categories.
Congratulations to the winner of the Pink Lady® Apple A Day category, Diana Kowalcyzk from Poland, for her stunning image Caramel Lady, which showcases our beautiful apples gracefully dipped in melted caramel. Judges said her shot stood out for her juxtaposed use of bright and dark colours which enhanced the subject matter.
Bangladeshi photographer KM Asad was awarded the overall prize with his powerful and poignant winning image, After Exodus, which depicts Rohingya refugee children in their camp, taken just after the Covid-19 lockdown was imposed.
Pink Lady® is proud to have been the headline sponsor for the awards since their inception in 2011. Over the past nine years the awards have grown in prestige, attracting attention from the international media and increasing the number of worldwide entries year on year.
