Shrunken PinKids® Apple Heads Punch

Ever wanted to make your own punch? We’ve got the perfect recipe for a delicious lightly spiced drink.

Full preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 120°C/fan 110°C/gas mark ½.

  2. Peel, core and half the apples, and use a melon baller and a sharp knife to create faces. Make them as scary, ghoulish, silly, friendly or emoji-like, as you like. They don’t have to be really scary, but we kind of liked them creepy.

  3. Pop the apples on a tray and bake in the oven for 1hr 30 mins, or until they are beginning to dry around the edges.

  4. Measure 1200ml water and the sugar free squash juice into a large saucepan. Add the allspice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange and lemon slices, and lemon juice.

  5. Bring to the boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

  6. Remove the cloves and cinnamon with a slotted spoon.

  7. Put the shrunken apple heads in a large bowl and pour in the punch. Allow to cool to a safe temperature to drink and have a ladle and some mugs, glasses or goblets handy to serve!
