Congratulations to our Pink Lady® apples runners who recently completed the Virgin Money London Marathon dressed as our iconic apple!

Our fantastic five, of Kent-based running club, Beginners2Runners, were put through their paces on Sunday 22nd April, the hottest London marathon on record. All five runners victoriously crossed the famous finish line on The Mall in London, cheered on by their families and running club team mates along with the Pink Lady® team who all donned a pair of Pink Lady® clappers for the occasion.

Karen Ruddell, Gary Edwards, Derek Pickles, Nazlihan Massey and Tom Grantham raised over £4,500 for Kent-based charity Dandelion Time, who work with vulnerable children and families experiencing behavioural and emotional difficulties, often as the result of trauma, abuse and neglect. The charity, based on a small peaceful farm near Maidstone, aims to combat these issues by delivering a practical farm-based therapeutic programme to help those affected build confidence, self-esteem and a new skill set to contribute towards a brighter future.

Beginners2Runners club manager, Steve Grantham will be joined by the Pink Lady® team to present a cheque to the charity at their May Fair in Maidstone on Saturday 12th May.
