Apple Porridge with Pecans and Cinnamon

A hearty, healthy breakfast that'll keep you going on a busy day.

Full preparation

  1. Place the oats, milk, cinnamon and 300ml water in a heavy based saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently, and cook for 5 minutes or until thick and creamy. Add a splash more milk or water if it is getting too thick.

  2. Stir through the diced Pink Lady® apple, cooking for just another 30 seconds or so to warm the apple through.

  3. Spoon into bowls, sprinkle over the brown sugar and scatter with the pecans. Serve immediately while piping hot.
