Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2018-19

The Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Awards have now closed for 2019. 

After a very successful year for the awards in 2018, budding food photographers and film makers across the globe will now wait to find out whether they are in with a chance of winning a £5000 cash prize. The Winners' Exhibition will be held at the Mall Galleries, London from Wednesday 1st May - Sunday 5th May from 10 - 5pm (closing at 3pm on the final day).

This year, our Chair Judge, David Loftus, will be joined by a host of new judges who are experts in their field. Other members of the panel include Claire Hyman, eminent photography collector, Rahul Singh, President of the National Restaurant Association of India, Per Anders Jorgensen, Scandinavia’s greatest food photographer and founder of Fool magazine, Jock Zonfrillo, top Australian chef in World’s Top 50 Restaurants, Lucy Pike, Head of Photography at We Transfer, Donal Skehan, television chef and food author from Ireland, Tom and Harry, chef and producer of Twisted, the Facebook channel for cooking and Charlie Stebbings, film-maker famous for his iconic M&S melting chocolate pudding.

As well as a crowd of new judges, this year’s awards include some exciting new categories. For the first time, snap-happy hopefuls can enter the Food Stylist Award and there is also a new category for the Champagne Taittinger Wedding Food Photographer.

The Pink Lady® Apple A Day category was won by German photographer Michael Meisen for his stunning image entitled ‘The Art Of Being An Apple’, showcasing our blushing apples beautifully displayed within a bouquet of flowers. Judges said his shot stood out for the way in which he made the subject matter so stunning and distinctive.
