The Pink Lady® guide to surviving Christmas
Whether you’re a festive force to be reckoned with or a Christmas curmudgeon, there’s no escaping the fact that it can be pretty stressful getting ready for the annual tinsel and turkey-fest.
While we can’t guarantee family harmony and snow on Christmas Day, we hope our seasonal top tips will help you enjoy the holidays by freeing up a bit more time to make the most of a break with loved ones and lots of lovely things to eat!
Your smart phone can definitely be Santa’s little helper this Christmas. If you haven’t embraced the technology already, explore the helpful apps available for planning your Christmas shopping. We like Santa’s Bag but there are lots of apps that let you import gift recipients from your contact list, assign presents and tick them off once purchased and even help you to stick to a budget so there are no nasty surprises.
If you’re stuck for inspiration for gift ideas check out the recipient’s Pinterest boards if they have an account. It’s often a really good way to see what they like without resorting to giving them a voucher!
No matter how organised you are you can’t always avoid the unexpected present. Never fear, with some clever shopping you can have a stash of just five presents that cover almost every eventuality – and they’re all available from your local supermarket!
• Colouring pencils
• Giant bar of chocolate
• A good bottle of wine
• Luxury coffee and a bar of chocolate
• Luxury tea and a tin of biscuits
Wrap them all up with blank gift tags – just be sure you know which is which!
It’s not rocket science – try your lights before you put them on the tree! When you take them off wrap them round a coat hanger so they don’t get so tangled up next year!
Nothing to wear? Before you hit the shops for a party outfit you’ll only wear a couple of times, have you got a bunch of friends who might be interested in a festive dress swap? Instead of braving late night shopping why not arrange a party where you can enjoy a pre-Christmas catch up and re-invigorate your wardrobes with a bit of swishing? We’ve got plenty of inspiration for Pink Lady® cocktails to get you in the mood. Check them out here.
