Pink Lady® Apples Sprint to Success
As an official sponsor of the Virgin Money London Marathon, the Pink Lady® team was thrilled to watch our four runners complete the 26 mile course clad in Pink Lady® costumes.
Their fancy dress was all in the name of a good cause, with Jon, Ivonne, Berni and Andy all running to raise vital funds for Stroke Association.
We were also proud to supply Pink Lady® apples for all marathon runners in their goody bags at the finish line.
It was the third marathon in as many years for Andy Orr, who works at our brand experience agency TRO, who achieved the impressive time of 4 hours 7 minutes.
Ivonne Goetsch, a first-time marathon runner who decided to step up to the mark after completing a number of off-road challenge runs, completed the course in 5 hours 23 minutes.
Berni Cooper, who was picked via Stroke Association’s social media channels after suffering a stroke aged 30, completed the course in 4 hours 28 minutes.
They were joined by Jon Goodege who has run the London Marathon dressed as a Pink Lady® apple once before, achieving a time of 4 hours 37 minutes.
Well done to all of our runners!
