1979, the summer of love! This is where it all began, as Mother Nature lent a hand in creating Pink Lady® perfection...

In the warm sunshine of Western Australia, we sucessfully created Pink Lady® apples through a natural, cross-pollination process between Golden Delicious and Lady William.

Their distinctive pink colour, fizzy flavour and crispy crunch soon made them Australia’s favourite apple and it wasn’t long before the rest of the world discovered the Pink Lady® magic.

By the mid ‘80s, our love for these sweet and sparkly, pink-blushed apples had spread worldwide!

When we say that Pink Lady® apples are grown with tender loving care, we really mean it. No other apple is as thoroughly inspected to make sure it meets our strict criteria.

We even have our own inspector, Howard, who examines Pink Lady® from the moment it arrives in the UK to when it appears on supermarket shelves.

It’s been a long and fruitful journey for the little pink gems. Today, we deliver over 400,000,000 Pink Lady® apples every year

Did you know it takes 200 days of tender loving care to grow a Pink Lady® apple from pip to perfection? Like a fine wine grape, because Pink Lady® grow longer on the tree than any other apple, they have time to develop their fabulous flavour and mature to their full potential.

Only once Pink Lady® has passed strict quality standards can it receive the familiar ‘flowing heart’ classification – a stamp of distinction.
