Pink Lady® is proud to sponsor a new set of global food photography awards. Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2012 is a celebration of all that is special and significant about food photography in our culture, recognising the art as never before.
Pink Lady® is the ideal culinary apple thanks to its beautiful pink blush and natural sweetness, bringing its champagne sparkle to both sweet and savoury dishes. With such fantastic cooking qualities, what better brand to support this landmark event for the food industry?
The awards are an opportunity for food photographers to showcase their passion and skill; open to professionals and amateurs alike across the world, with a prize of £5,000 for the overall winner.
The awards cover nine categories, including Food in the Street, Food in the Field, and Food Portraiture. A special ‘Apple a day’ category is also included looking for the most exciting, creative, inventive and beautiful images of an apple. Every entry into this category generates a £2 donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, the chosen charity of Pink Lady®.
Entries will be judged by a highly distinguished panel of experts including picture editors, chefs and photographers and the winning images will be displayed at the world-renowned Mall Galleries, London SW1 in April 2012.
